December 29th, 2006

I apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment caused my site visitors, but due to events in my 'real' life, I will not be updating Guardian Tales for an indefinite period.

I will keep the site up and running, and have no intention of letting it go or removing it. I appreciate the interest shown in my little site through the 5 or so years I've had it; and I do plan to return to regular updates, etc., at some point in the future.

Feel free to email me with questions, more stories, etc. I will do my best to answer them. To those who have submitted stories since the last update, I apologize for not posting them. You will be notified by email if your story gets posted.

My offline life has top priority and all my attention right now. I appreciate everyone's understanding.

-San Perry.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Due to some recent events in my life, I have become very curious about coincidences, and would love to hear from site visitors how their lives have been affected by them.  Are coincidences just that? Random events that only SEEM connected?  Or are they part of a bigger pattern or plan? Send your experiences with coincidences and how they have affected your life to: contact_guardiantales@hotmail.com  Be sure to put 'COINCIDENCES' in the subject line... I can't wait to hear from you...

Finally, another update... You've waited long enough, let's just dive right in, shall we?

We have a new Featured Tale... But it Wasn't The Moon - I have to say, I think of this story every now and then when I'm gazing up at the moon... makes me glad to see it always looks the same... There's always more on the We Get  Emails page of course... Shadow Girl and  Shadows and Noises in Our Home has been added to the Reader's Tales section. There's two new Hard to Explain Tales... This is My Story, and Close Encounters of the Angelic Kind.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS:

I heard from the "A Haunting" series people... The show about Jan Thompson's tale, 'The Story of Man' will be aired on the Discovery channel on August 10.  The show will be airing on Thursdays, 8PM EST. You will want to check your local listings, of course... Look for the show titled, "Demon Child."

Look closely at the ending credits too,,, see if they put a the link to this site there...

Another announcement... Melissa Brume, author on this site of "Grim", Third Eye Parts I, II, III and also Close Encounters of the Angelic Kind. is a published author! Check out her book here: Psychic Limbo.

That's it for now...

March 1. 2006

I appreciate everyone's patience waiting for all these months for the site update.  My 'real life' took the forefront for awhile, between the holidays, health issues, and writing my first novel.  I found the writing muse consumed me, but now the book is 'resting' for a bit until I undertake the third and final draft, and I have an finally able to devote time  to Guardian Tales.  With that said, let's get on with it, shall we?  there's lot of additions to the site...

One of the first things I want to tell everyone is to be sure to go over and visit Jan Thompson's NEW website:  T.R.A.P.S. and her new Yahoo Message Board group:  Hannibal Specter's Basement and a fascinating site about Bigfoot sightings in Western Kentucky... You can also find the banner links to these sites on my Links page...and since we're on the topic Jan's Tales, I invite you to view 2 sketches Jan had a talented friend draw for her, depicting the creature she saw one cold night in her Creature of the Night story, PLUS a sketch of the beast Jan (and others) saw in  From the Woods. another witness of the Woods creature corroborates the creature looked like the sketch, except for a difference in the ears.  You'll need to scroll down to the bottom of the page to see the sketches.

I have an additional announcement about our friend Jan... the Discovery channel will be airing the account of Jan's encounter with a malevolent entity on their "A Haunting..." series.  The show airs on Fridays, be sure to check your TV listings and start watching!  The show is about Jan's Tale, "The Story of Man."  She and her family were interviewed for 3 days beginning on Halloween, 2005.  They got the idea for the episode from reading the "Man" story here, by the way... although I believe Guardian Tales will not be mentioned as the source for the story...(sigh)  If I get the exact date of the first airing of this episode, I'll post it here...

Now, on to the stories... There's a new Featured Tale:  The Tennessee Witch House. I've also added 2 stories to the Special Mention Tales this one sent from the U.K.:  My Horrid House of Fear and one with an interesting photo: Black Moriah Ghost. As always, there's some new Readers Tales, several from the same author:  Dream Psychic, Some of Them Came With the Toys, and Another Time Frozen With Fear. there's also: Voices and Name Calling. and My Apartment.  Thanks for all the story submissions, Traveller!

There's more in Readers Tales... Something Paranormal. We have a new Untitled Tale...

Looks like my little hiatus is over... see you next month...
