PLEASE GO TO THE 'WHAT'S NEW' PAGE FOR A SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT THIS SITE.

(NOTE: The tales do NOT have to be ONLY on the subject of ghosts or hauntings...we are interested in tales of the UNKNOWN. This includes UFO sightings, Bigfoot, Near Death experiences, Out of Body experiences, ESP, etc. There's a lot more than ghosts out there...

Please read the Submission Rules carefully, and refer to them when writing out your tale, in the order in which the events happened.)

WARNING: Read the following rules carefully. If your story does not have this information: TITLE, SIGNATURE, LOCATION, TIME FRAME and has not been EDITED and CORRECTED prior to submitting, it may not be posted. Proofread your tale for spelling and other errors!!!
PLEASE BE AWARE IT MAY TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS FOR YOUR STORY TO BE POSTED - STORIES ARE POSTED IN THE ORDER RECEIVED. YOU WILL BE EMAILED WHEN YOUR STORY IS ON THE SITE. REJECTED STORIES ARE NOT ACKNOWLEDGED. I TRY TO POST NEW STORIES ONCE A MONTH - ANY DELAYS IN UPDATES WILL BE NOTED IN THE WHAT'S NEW SECTION...

DO NOT SEND YOUR STORY AS AN EMAIL ATTACHMENT - IT WILL NOT BE OPENED. PLEASE PUT YOUR STORY IN THE BODY OF THE EMAIL.

First person accounts ONLY. This means only tales of experiences and events that have happened to you directly, from your viewpoint.

What TITLE would you like your story to have? "Untitled" is fine.

What SIGNATURE would you like your story to have? "Unsigned" is fine.

WHEN did your story occur? Month and year, for example.

WHERE did your story occur? City and State, for example, we do NOT want the exact address!

Give DETAILS. Describe what you saw, heard, felt, said, did, etc. Give a bit of background to the story. Were you in a house, outdoors, in a car, etc.? Who was with you? How has your life been affected by the experience?

EDIT YOUR STORY FOR SPELLING AND OTHER ERRORS. The less editing a story needs, the sooner it will be posted. Stories that require heavy editing will not be posted at all, due to the amount of time it takes for us to do so.

SAMPLE STORY:

XMAS HAUNTING

On Xmas Eve, 1975, my sister and I went to her house in Rochester, New York to get the pies she had baked for Xmas dinner. Everyone who lived in the house was at my mother's house several blocks away celebrating the holiday, and my sister's house was empty.

When we entered the house, the area directly in front of the entryway felt freezing cold-so much so that we could see our breath! Thinking the furnace had broken down, we checked the thermostat - it said 70 degrees. In the living room, all the ornaments were removed from the tree, and arranged on the rug in front of the fireplace. They had all been sorted by colour - the white ornaments were together, the red ones were together, etc. Ornaments that were several colours were piled haphazardly in one corner of the rug, as if the person sorting them had gotten confused by them having more than one colour.

Neither my sister nor I wanted to hang around waiting to see what would happen next. We ran into the kitchen, got the pies (which were untouched, thank God!) and then ran out, stopping only long enough to lock the door behind us.
